Being  close to nature and to enjoy the silence of the bush while sitting around the campfire makes you want to forget all about home... Make hundreds of wishes as you count the falling stars and wonder about the nightly sounds that come out of the bush... In the morning, wake up to the calls of twittering birds, then help yourself to a fresh cup of coffee and feel the bush come to life...

That is the uniqueness of camping.... truly one of the best ways to experience Namibia!

On our camping trips we really go off the beaten track at times, especially in the desolate Kaokoland and Damaraland. We set up a bushcamp in the middle of nowhere, always with an eco-friendly approach, thus taking care of the environment and always keeping your safety in mind.

There are no facilities at the bushcamps, but you can still enjoy a hot "bush shower".

 

Where possible we make use of community based campsites. These campsites are unfenced but sometimes have a few facilities, like a shower, toilet and running water. The community benefits from your stay as the proceeds go directly to them.

In the more visited areas, e.g. Sossusvlei and Etosha, we use the campsites at the lodges in the area. These are usually fenced and have all the facilities you need. Often you can make use their swimmingpool and bar/restaurant. In the urban areas, like Swakopmund and Windhoek we make use of guesthouses and bed&breakfasts.

We ususally camp a minimum of two nights at the same location so we don't lose to much valuable time setting up and breaking down camp every day and we are able to explore the area at leisurely pace. 

We use two person walk-in dome tents that are fitted with stretcher beds, sheets, sleepingbags/duvets, pillows and extra blankets in winter. Single tents are available on request.

The camp consist of a campfire where guest can relax and where most of the cooking is done. There's a kitchen area where meals are prepared, always from fresh produce as much as possible. We have dinner at the diningtable, laid with cutlery, crockery and glasses. 

The vehicle is fitted with a fridge, so cold drinks can be enjoyed after a hot, dusty day!
